Designer Anouk Wipprecht has created a dress that uses sensors that detect the wearer's stress levels and surroundings. It is meant to mimic the instincts of a spider.

The dress corresponds to how you feel about others — talk about wearing your heart on your sleeve.
It can detect movement up to 22 feet away and will determine if nearby people are dangerous by your heart rate and their proximity.

Approach the wearer too quickly and the mechanical limbs move up to attack you. Approach slowly and the limbs will dance.
This is actually the second Spider Dress she's made — the protoype, seen above, is black. The newest one is pearl white and 3D printed in collaboration with Rapid Made, using technology in collaboration with Intel.
Besides these two dresses, she's also created garments that shock the wearer with over 500,000 volts of electricity and a dress that makes you cocktails. I'll pass on the first but the second sounds kind of perfect for holiday parties, like a high fashion beer hat. #FASHION.
